Michelin-Rated Rooster & Owl Cultivates a Communal Dining Experience
01/12

In the midst of an exceptionally challenging year, Rooster & Owl didn’t just survive—it thrived. 2021 marked the first time its illustrious kitchen team earned a coveted Michelin star. That’s not just because the offerings change all the time to reflect the current season. It’s also because Rooster & Owl turns every meal into a communal experience.

Instead of providing dishes a la carte, Rooster & Owl invites guests to build a four-course feast for the table. The menu changes during the year but is always veggie-heavy. Case in point? Current first courses like Brussels sprouts Caesar salad with aged cheddar cheese and Asian pear, or kampachi with purple daikon, pecan, and calamansi. For the second course, savor something like the autumn mushrooms with harissa and honeynut squash or the meatballs with polenta and mustard cream. Then comes the main event, entrees such as scallops in coconut-carrot curry, hanger steak with Tokyo turnips, and pappardelle tossed with duck sausage and honey ricotta. Save room for chocolate cremeux with cardamom or goat cheese cheesecake with fig and honey for dessert.
