The Most Beautiful 5k of the Summer
17/06

There is no better way to start summer off than to spend some time in the sun, some light competition, and some classic exercise. If this sounds ideal to you, then sign up for the Friends of National Arboretum Summer 5k

There has never been a more beautiful route to race on. With rolling green hills, gardens in full bloom, and streams winding their way to the Anacostia River. Enjoy the U.S. National Arboretum in full swing.

The race is not only wonderfully scenic but totally safe and secure. All roads are closed to cars during the race, so all participants can enjoy safely running through this 450-acre green landscape.

Strollers and dogs are welcome, but dogs must stay on a 5’ non-retractable leash. Additionally, all race participants are required to pick up their racing packets at the National Arboretum on Friday, June 24 between 1 pm through 5 pm. Or, the morning of the race between 8 and 9 am.

The Friends of National Arboretum Summer 5k takes place on Saturday, June 25th at 9 am EDT.
